Current Positions
Freelance Front-End Web Developer
Pixelshell are seeking a driven and talented Front-End Web Developer to work on current as well as future projects. You will take our Photoshop compositions and convert them into clean and robust web-sites. You must be self-motivated and able to deliver projects in a timely manner.
Please note that you will be joining the team as a fellow freelancer. You must be able to work from home for the immediate short-term and be easily available for collaboration through email, IM and our project management tools "Basecamp" and "SVN".
Job requirements entail that you possess skills and knowledge in the following areas:
- Expert knowledge of XHTML (W3C compliant) and CSS
- Strong proficiency in front-end JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. jQuery, Mootools)
- Cross-browser/platform compliance & troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to write clean, concise and well commented code
- Working knowledge of Photoshop
- Attention to detail and proven timeliness in project completion
- Experience working with a file versioning system/tool (e.g. SVN)
Bonus points for fluency in PHP, Ruby, Java and Flash ActionScripting capabilities
